The Salvation Army and the Citadel at the Castlegate has been part of Margaret Ross’s life since a child. She has been a member of the church most of her life and worked for the Salvation Army as a Training Manager, and then Director of Social Services for North Scotland before retirement in 2015. She retains an active role at the Citadel, still working today as a volunteer to help combat social isolation in the community.
